Local Musicians: A Call to Arms

THE PREVIOUS ARTICLE HAS BEEN CHANGED IN ITS ENTIRETY TO REFLECT A CHANGE OF VIEWPOINT

Calling all local musicians!

The offseason is upon us.  What to do?

  1. Hibernate.
  2. Take up crochet.
  3. Play a few originals for the locals.

If you already play an all-original set, this post is not aimed your way.  You’re good to go and are commended.

If you don’t write your own music, that’s cool.

If you are used to sprinkling some originals in your act, consider sprinkling some more.  In fact, work up an entire set of originals.  Consider playing that entire set at a local venue.  Over time, we could all benefit from a local scene that emphasizes original music.

Stay tuned:  There’s some exciting stuff to announce on the horizon.

  1. I like the way you are thinking. As you know, I always love to hear your original songs. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the covers you do, but you put so much time and effort into your original songs and that is what I truly love to hear. Everyone needs to hear them. Keep up the amazing work and we look forward to our next visit down your way.
